Amazon forces China’s B2B e-commerce export market
Retail is about to begin
On September 11, Amazon announced its cross-border B2B business, Amazon Business’s latest global development in 2018. According to reports, Amazon Business currently serves millions of corporate and institutional buyers worldwide. The annual revenue for 2018 is estimated to be $10 billion, with third-party sellers expected to account for over 50% of sales.
Amazon Business is Amazon’s business that specializes in corporate sourcing and helps Chinese sellers export e-commerce. “Global Shops” can help Chinese sellers to launch Amazon Business, and let them face organizations and enterprises with large procurement needs. The difference between them and ordinary Amazon overseas sites lies mainly in the purchase of objects. For example, the Amazon US site is open to all consumers, but Amazon Business at the Amazon US site is primarily open to organizations and businesses in the United States.
Cindy Tai, head of Asia Pacific for Amazon Global Stores, said: "With Amazon Business’s global business development and innovative services and tools, Chinese sellers will reach more global quality and institutional buyers and expand cross-border e-commerce. Export layout and develop global commercial procurement business quickly and effectively."
It is understood that Amazon Business was launched at Amazon America in April 2015. Currently, Amazon Business, the world’s seven largest sites in Amazon, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, is now open to Chinese sellers.
It is worth noting that since 2018, Amazon has accelerated the layout of Amazon Business around the world. Of the seven sites that are currently opening Amazon Business to Chinese sellers, three of them are just online this year. On July 4th, Amazon announced that it will launch the Amazon Business business at the same time in Italy and Spain. The Chinese sellers’ investment plan will be launched simultaneously. In February 2018, the Amazon Business France site was launched.
ORFORD’s main office furniture from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, has more than ten years of foreign trade experience and has become a model for utilizing cross-border e-commerce transformation and expanding overseas markets.
