New retail is equipped with "black technology"

Face recognition, non-feeling, and taking away... These scenes that only appeared in sci-fi blockbusters in the past are now “played” by China’s new retail industry. The “black technology” blessing makes the industry rejuvenate. It is alive and has attracted widespread attention overseas.

The 14-year-old Fudan Zhida Campus Bookstore turned into a Tmall Untitled Bookstore, becoming the first private bookstore in China with new retail significance.

The first robotic restaurant in Boxan, located in Nanxiang, Shanghai, delivered a 40-second meal delivery, and “stunned” some old brands.

As the lecturer of the Shanghai New Retail Study Group, Luo Hong, the founder of Zhida Bookstore, shared the story of how a 14-year-old bookstore turned into the most technologically unseen bookstore in Shanghai. She also felt that such a big change, whether consumers can accept, whether it will affect performance, whether it is worth investing in this risk, whether to copy the next store and other issues, is not without doubt, but finally determined to try.

In the advancement of the Tmall unmanned technical team, her doubts gradually decreased. As the first unmanned bookstore in Shanghai, not only Fudan students love to come here, Shanghai locals and various partners have come to visit, Luo Hong has also been invited to share experiences.

On the 6th, Tmall held a new retail open class in Shanghai for the first time, including 500 Chinese famous brands such as GUESS, Aokang, TATA Wooden Door, etc., which are like the MBA case class, and Luo Hong’s unmanned bookstore is a typical case. Representative.

Ye Guohui, general manager of Tmalls new retail division, said that the new retail is a consumer-centric, big data-driven reconstruction of peoples goods yards, to help global brands restructure physical retail assets and consumers global connections.

GUESS Greater China CEO said in an open class that the biggest problem facing global brands in the digital economy era seems to be the backwardness of IT systems, which is essentially the burden of traditional business. Tmalls new retail is leading the global brand to take the lead in China and lead a global business transformation.
