Chinese fashion retailer Urban Revivo set for UK launch

Chinese fast fashion retailer Urban Revivo will launch its debut UK store in Westfield London next year.

The fashion retailer will open its first UK store in May 2018 with a 22,000 sq ft outlet in Westfield’s extension at its White City branch, according to Drapers.

The retailer is also eyeing expansion into the US, France, Japan and the Middle East and plans to open between 60 and 100 new stores worldwide per year, with a target of 400 outlets by 2020.

Urban Revivo currently operates 160 stores, the bulk of which are in its domestic China.

The retailer unveiled its first international store in Singapore earlier this year, but its Westfield London branch will be its first outside of Asia.

The retailer sells clothing across women’s, men’s and childrenswear categories and rolls out up to 12,000 new styles per year.

The fashion retailer’s UK store debut is being overseen by property agent CBRE.
‘A new chapter’

Urban Revivo chief executive and founder Leo Li said: “Our first global flagship represents a new chapter for Urban Revivo and we are thrilled to make these first steps in London.”

CBRE senior director for central London retail Kevin Farrow added: “This deal reaffirms London, and the UK market as a whole, as a world-class leader in retail innovation and an attractive destination for brands seeking to expand their global reach.”
