Jingdong, Suning and other giants actively deploy smart logistics

Jingdong is actively deploying smart logistics through the full application of artificial intelligence technology. Among them, a series of intelligent robots such as unmanned vehicles, drones and unmanned warehouses built by Jingdong X Business Unit have become an important attempt to build a smart logistics system.

On the one hand, players such as Jingdong, Rookie and Suning, who are the first to make cloth, announced that they will realize mass production in this year.

Suning Logistics and Baidu Automated Driving Division jointly announced on July 4 that it will accelerate the landing of automated driving technology, and realize the popularization of automatic driving technology for terminal distribution and large-scale mass production of unmanned delivery vehicles by 2020.

On the other hand, the entry of new players, including Internet giant Tencent, has triggered concern about changes in the future of the industry.

In addition to the above-mentioned companies, there are also many giants from the fields of express logistics, e-commerce, take-away and robot manufacturing, which are also deploying in the distribution robots. All this seems to predict that the era of intelligent robot distribution is coming. According to Liu Qiangdong, the head of Jingdong Group, it is possible that "the robots will be delivered to you in the next 4-7 years."

Behind the active layout of the giants, it is inseparable from the growing logistics and distribution needs at this stage. With the increase of labor costs, the supporting technology of intelligent robots is becoming more and more mature, and smart logistics has become an unstoppable industry trend. As one of the representatives of this trend, smart robots are no longer gimmicks, but gradually change the traditional logistics industry. The efficiency of distribution has been improved, making up for the manpower in some distribution scenarios, and improving the user experience. These are the practical benefits that intelligent robot applications bring to the end of distribution.

Of course, as a new thing, end-delivery robots inevitably face many problems in the future. The second half of the wisdom logistics has just begun, not yet when harvesting dividends. Nowadays, the giants are actively deploying, aiming at taking the lead in the second half of the competition.
