Walmart shows off new retail technologies such as drones at CES

Recently, Walmart nnounced several new retail technologies at the 2024 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which are being piloted and promoted by its namesake stores and Sam's Club stores. The retailer claims that these new technologies will enable it to offer a new type of business model: adaptive retailing, a customer-centric, connected and frictionless business model. It is reported that the technology announced includes 10 club pilot projects, in which Sam's member stores are experimenting with AI and computer vision to eliminate queuing in club export areas, as well as beta social commerce platforms and UAV expansion plans.
