New retail revolution is expanding from the consumer side to the supply side
Recently, Alibaba Group Vice President and Box Ma Fresh Life CEO Hou Yi said at the "2018 Box Ma New Zero Supply Relationship Conference" that Box Ma Fresh has adopted a buyer system for fresh products, and will further promote the standard team. It adopts a buyer’s system and plans to achieve 50% of its own branded goods within three years.
It is reported that Box Ma Shengsheng has established a buyer system and a private brand system since its establishment. At present, it has a very strong global buyer team.
Hou Yi said that China’s zero-supply relationship is unbalanced. China’s retail industry has always been dominated by suppliers. Retailers have not established a real buyer system, so what suppliers sell to retailers, resulting in goods that are suppliers’ interests. Oriented, not dominated by consumers. And the supplier’s interest orientation often leads to a set of gray systems, which causes widespread corruption in the retail industry today. Hou Yi believes that the best way to solve corruption is to buy a hand, only to let the buyer take responsibility, so that all business data can fully withstand consumer testing, corruption can be finally resolved.
Box Ma’s new retail gene also provides new ideas for traditional zero-supply relationships. It is reported that Box Ma Xiansheng is currently developing upstream and downstream supply chain systems to achieve information exchange and data sharing with suppliers to ensure that upstream and downstream information is integrated. Hou Yi said that in the second half of this year, Box Horse will also invest in a number of upstream supplier companies, hoping to form a benign and long-term partner ecosystem through equity relationships.
As of July 2018, Box Ma has a total of 64 stores across the country, covering 20 million users. Hou Yi said that he hopes that in the next three years, Box Horse Fresh will enter all first- and second-tier cities in China and developed prefecture-level cities, serving 300 million people.
