“Daily Fresh” is a new brand launched by Wumart in Beijing. Currently, only one category of vegetables is sold. Xu Lina, a spokesperson for Wumei Group, told the interface that the brand currently covers a total of 20 SKUs, mainly leafy vegetables such as amaranth, spinach, and leek. 80% of these vegetables are directly supplied by Wumart from the place of production, fast-packed in the large warehouse, and transported to various stores through cold chain.
 
These packaged vegetables do not need to be weighed in advance. The cashier has a daily dedicated weighing platform. After purchasing the complete product, consumers can weigh it on the shopping platform and use the “multi-point” of Wumei’s e-commerce to settle.
 
Since the vegetables on the shelves are only sold on the same day, in order to deal with the loss of leafy vegetables, Xu Lina said that the store will start the reminding mechanism from the afternoon according to the inventory quantity, and prepare to start the promotion activities such as 50% spike. Most stores will remind the time to be set at two in the afternoon, but will also be adjusted according to the actual situation of the store.
 
In fact, this method of regular discount sales has been in existence for a long time, especially when dealing with leafy products with relatively high loss rate, Wal-Mart, Yonghui, AEON and other hypermarkets have always had special evening specials.
 
Now, some of the daily fresh products of Box Horse have entered the RT-Mart store in the same Ali. In the future, Wumart also plans to extend the “Daily Fresh” brand to other fresh products. Wumart also revealed that the daily fresh vegetables on the shelves have increased the stores cost by at least 15%.
