Netease enters cross-border export e-commerce collection industry
On September 21, Yibang Power was informed that according to a person familiar with the matter, Netease’s third-party payment platform, Netease, is paying for the upcoming cross-border collection service.
According to Netease’s cross-border payment official website, Netease’s cross-border collection platform will provide services such as fund account opening, collection and settlement of foreign exchange for exporting cross-border e-commerce sellers that conduct goods trade on overseas e-commerce platforms.
Netease’s cross-border collection business will be launched in Europe, the United States, Australia, Japan and some emerging markets and cross-border e-commerce platforms in countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
According to Yibang Power, Netease strictly selected the Shopee platform in April this year, and was in the preparation stage in May. The team was selected to start the Shopee platform in early June, and the stable order was issued after mid-June. As of July this year, NetEase has selected 87 items on the Shopee Malaysia site, 149 in Singapore and 170 in Taiwan.
In addition, NetEase is also preparing to join more overseas e-commerce platforms. According to Netease’s official website, Netease is recruiting Amazon stores to operate. The store’s operations are in the mail business department (strictly selected departments). This position is mainly responsible for the basic operations of Amazon stores, including category planning, product shelves, marketing planning and follow-up service improvement, product quality complaint communication, product optimization recommendations. This also means that Amazon will become a new sales channel for NetEase.
It is worth noting that before this, Netease’s chairman and CEO Ding Lei said that the future plan said that in the next few years, it is also necessary to sell Chinese-made products abroad.
